Whether it’s a graduation party, a birthday, an anniversary, a holiday, or a reunion, you’ll attend at least one family gathering every year. Sometimes you look forward to them; sometimes you dread them. There will be people you’re eager to see, as well as those whom you’ve gone out of your way to avoid. Once these occasions are over, they all seem to melt into a blur of relatives, food, drink, kids, picnic tables, fireworks, music, and games, with mostly just the good times remaining in your memory. When they’re lying ahead, however, you usually approach them with a bit of trepidation.

You’re not alone. Everybody experiences some sort of apprehension at the thought of a family get-together. Sometimes, it’s because of the uncle who always goes overboard with the alcohol and the off-color jokes – not necessarily in that order. Or, it may be the aunt who’s always bragging about her perfect kids, her high-paying job, her fancy house, and her new car – and not necessarily in that order! It also seems that each family is assigned a cousin who excels at everything, and you just can’t stand the thought of hearing about one more award or promotion, especially after you just got “down-sized” out of your job.

Then, there’s the really scary problem that every family faces at these affairs – the seating arrangements for the kids! After all, one of the things that you were looking forward to was having adult conversation at the table. Of course, it’s normal to relegate the kids to a separate table, but they rarely go quietly, especially when it’s a flimsy card table with a folding chair, a stool, and a piano bench around it. Beyond the hassle of setting it up, there’s the inevitable argument about who’s going to get stuck sitting at it.

Luckily, there’s a simple solution that will put an end to all the squabbling. AllPicnicTables.com has a selection of durable picnic tables made just for kids. These perfect little replicas of full-size picnic tables will give kids a fun place to eat, and grown-ups a chance to socialize. Available in different sizes, materials, and colors, there’s one that’s right for every budget – and every occasion.

For classic style, there are kids’ picnic tables made from genuine red cedar, an exceptionally durable wood with natural oils that give it built-in resistance to insects and decay. A cedar picnic table will last indefinitely, perhaps even long enough for your kids’ kids to use it. You’ll also find kids’ picnic tables made from 100% arsenic-free pressure-treated pine. A kiln-drying process, before and after treatment, enables this table to withstand years of abuse by the weather, as well as rambunctious children, without decaying, warping, or checking.

AllPicnicTables.com also has indestructible aluminum kids’ picnic tables, available in a wide range of vivid colors. With their no-tip design, they can take whatever the kids dish out, without denting, bending, twisting, cracking, or rusting, even if they’re left outside year-round. With one of these tables on hand, you won’t have any more unpleasant dinnertime scenes – unless your near-sighted uncle tries to squeeze into it.

Visit allpicnictables.com to see the entire range of kids’ picnic tables, along with a great assortment of accessories. For more information, call 888-293-2339, or e-mail contact@allpicnictables.com.

Welcome to the site. Here you will find about all the answers you need in making a good decision on buying a Childrens Picnic Table. Find dozens of styles and designs, colors and materials of kid’s tables and chairs, benches and outdoor furniture designed with them in mind. Whether you are buying your first kid’s picnic table, or replacing one that may have worn out in the elements, you’ll find guidance in getting the right one for you right here. Let’s start with the most popular table for children.

Childrens Picnic Table

Many tables now come built in such a way that they will accommodate an umbrella, and that is a wonderful feature if where you are going to place the picnic table you don’t get a lot of wind or gusts. Some structures are light in weight, designed to be portable to carry off when the activities are done. So they can easily tip over when enough wind gets under that umbrella. But don’t worry, there are plenty of other tables for your young ones. And if you’re getting lots of wind, you may not even need the protection.

Kid’s Table and Chairs

Perfect for doing homework or playing games, these hardwood tables and chairs designed just for kids are classic and will probably be handed down in your family. We bought some made of birch and they have lasted forever. There are many styles, but simple wood without colors can match just about any room decor and can be taken outside for use when the extended family comes over for holiday. You really get what you pay for with kids table and chairs. I found a lot of junk online.

Kids Picnic Table

What is exciting about this table is that it can be used outdoors or in, and it is a piece of cake to take down and move around. We even use these at our church in the children’s department. They are sturdy and hold up well to much abuse. But stay away from the kids picnic tables that are made of thin plastic because they will bend and permanently warp with any weight. Stick with heavier tables and you won’t be sorry. Read the weight limits on the tables as they will not take the weight of adults, but hold up well with kids.

Playhouses for Kids

There is nothing as fun as a playhouse for children. Boys make it a fort, and girls have fun playing house. And the best designs I found here were open so that parents would have no problem watching children as they played. Closed playhouses have to be monitored closely, so remember that when you shop. Many of the cooler playhouses have working phones, doorbells, and lights, but I found that kids will have just as much fun with a basic one that is well built and easy for you to move around. These are made mainly out of polyurethane plastic so they will last for many years. Make sure you find one that fits more than one child and where the shipping won’t cost you and arm and a leg.

Desks for Kids

Here’s a product that comes in a ton of different designs, and the one I found most useful is the one that looks almost like a regular school desk that kids can slide into from the side. In fact, there is a model that allows for left or right handed kids. Want to get the off on the right foot for homework? This is a perfect addition to your home. If you have two small kids, they’ll probably be fighting over who gets to use this, because desks for kids are something they feel is theirs. Look for good use of space and durability, and something that is easy to assemble. Makes a great space for the kids to eat lunch, too.

Here is where you can spend some time trying to whittle down exactly what you want in a kids picnic table. Now unless you already have a picnic table and are simply wanting to find something that matches it, you will be in for a surprise, maybe a pleasant one, to see the diversity of tables and materials used. My tip here is to not buy anything that reminds them of school. They spend a lot of their day at school and there are steel tables there that are not all that comfortable. So unless you’re buying for a school or church, look for plastic or wood as your material of choice. Aluminum is another material that is long-lasting and used in commercial applications. And yes, they do have kids sizes available.

Kids will enjoy your outdoor activities more when they have their very own place to sit. Look for a kids picnic table that is sturdy and around 27 inches tall. This is the proper height for kids and will make them comfortable. One consideration is a table made out of vinyl. Vinyl is very sturdy and today has become more durable with the addition of titanium dioxide. They put titanium dioxide in the vinyl to help it stabilize against the UV rays that break down plastics out in the sun. Ultraviolet makes normal vinyl brittle and fade. With the new formulation, I’ve see kids picnic tables made from vinyl have 20 year guarantees on them. That’s impressive. And with vinyl they can make the table any color, so you have a huge choice.

If you want to go the organic, green, non-chemical route, consider a kids picnic table made from untreated wood. Cedar is an excellent wood that is very durable and can stand up in the elements. Pressure treated wood generally used in picnic tables is injected with great amounts of toxic compounds to preserve the wood. The most common preservative used in the USA was chromated copper arsenate, an insecticide that is 22 percent pure arsenic, a known carcinogen. But it was banned in 2004. Still it is being sold for industrial use, so read labels. The replacement is now alkaline copper quat, a less toxic organic pesticide. There is no long term study on ACQ. So you might want to consider untreated wood.

A kids picnic table made from cedar is light and resists warping and cracking. You’ve probably been in a cedar closet. The reason builders use this wood is because the oils contain thujaplicins – that great aroma that we love but bugs hate. So this means the picnic table will last a long time.

Plastic vinyl or wood are my two recommendations. Try to find an online firm that will have your color and style and that might give you free shipping with your order. As always, make sure they have a way to contact them offline and a guarantee of their products. Find the kids picnic table you want and that will last for a long time.
